Como os dije ayer, hoy voy a hablaros de la Rain Room.
Es una instalación artística en el Barbican Centre, en la City. No es nada más y nada menos que una sala donde hay lluvia artificial, pero con el incentivo de que cuando tu atraviesas la habitación, la lluvia cesa. Hay una serie de sensores de movimiento que cortan el agua en la zona donde estás colocado.
Podéis pensar: "¿Ir a ver como llueve estando en Londres? ¿En serio?". Pues cuando os diga que tuvimos que esperar tres horas de cola para entrar, ya os echaréis las manos a la cabeza. No sé que es lo que nos hizo ir (a nosotros y los otros visitantes que tuvieron que esperar lo mismo), pero tenía su punto eso de disfrutar de la lluvia sin mojarse. Era un poco mágico, la verdad.
As I told you yesterday, I´m telling you about the Rain Room.
It´s an artistic installation in Barbican Centre, in the City. It's nothing more and nothing less than a room with artificial rain, but with the incentive of that when you go through the room, the rain stops. There are a number of motion sensors which cut the water in the area where you're placed.
You can think: "Going to see how it´s rain in London? Seriously?". Well, when I say that we had to wait three hours making queue to get in, you shall surely bring the hands to the head. I don´t know what is what made us go (us and other visitors who had to wait the same), but it had a point to enjoy the rain without getting wet. It was magical, really.
La instalación ha sido creada por Random International, y estará en Barbican hasta el 3 de marzo. Yo la recomiendo, porque me gustó bastante.
